About us

The first step in a successful career

Sendara is a company committed to helping young people make their best career choice.

Self-awareness comes first

Knowing what you enjoy, how you like to work and what matters to you is the key to a successful career. We help you see it clearly before you choose.

Less professional frustration

Too many people end up in studies or jobs that don't fit them. We are committed to reducing that frustration by helping you choose with good information from the start.

Built for young people

Sendara is made for teenagers and young adults who are deciding what to study or where to start working, and for the people who support them.

How it works

From questions to a plan in two short sittings

  1. Create your profile

    2 minutes

Tell us your first name, age and country, and read how we use your information. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian gives their authorization.

  2. Answer the questionnaire in two parts

About 30 minutes, in one or two sittings

Part 1 is about what you like: everyday activities, choices between them and what matters to you in a job. Part 2 is about how you work, plus a few optional questions in your own words. You can stop after part 1 and finish later. There are no right or wrong answers.

  3. Get your result

    Right away

Your answers point to your main area out of 20. Often a closely related area comes a close second; your report adds it as your accent. Your report also tells you how much confidence to place in your result.

  4. Explore and test your options

    At your own pace

Your report describes your work style, strengths and watch-outs, suggests careers and training routes for the country where you live, and gives you simple ways to test them before you commit. You can save it as a PDF.

How your result is built

Sendara starts from what you enjoy doing, because interests are the best-researched guide to the kind of work people choose, stay in and do well in. Each of our 20 areas is matched to real occupations using the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET database. Personality questions then shape how your report describes you: your work style, strengths and watch-outs.

Your work style

How you like to work, from personality questions based on the public-domain International Personality Item Pool. It never decides your area.

  • SociabilityHow much energy you get from people.
  • OrganisationHow much you like plans, order and finishing what you start.
  • CuriosityHow drawn you are to new ideas and methods.
  • CooperationWhether you tend to challenge others or keep the peace.
  • SteadinessHow you handle pressure and setbacks.

Your main area + sometimes an accent + your work style

Your main area is where your interests are strongest. When a closely related area comes a close second, your report adds it as your accent and shows the careers where the two meet. Personality never decides your area; it shapes how your report describes you.

Good to know

No grades, no numbers

There is no pass or fail. Your report shows how your top areas compare with each other, never a score.

Result confidence

If two areas were close, your report says so. A related area becomes your accent; if the two were very different, a few quick extra choices help decide.

A starting point, not a verdict

Your results reflect how you see yourself today. Interests change, especially when you are young, so you can retake Sendara in 6 to 12 months.

Your information is protected

We never sell your personal information. Your age and country are not used to work out your area; your country only chooses the training routes and careers shown in your report.
